MACSIN - Modelagem, Análise e Controle de SIstemas Não-lineares (modeling, analysis and control of nonlinear systems) is one of the research groups at CPDEE - UFMG. The MACSIN group is concerned with various aspects of modeling, analysis and control systems which display nonlinear dynamics and chaos. Electronic and mechanical chaotic oscillators are used in our Lab to develop new tools. Other research topics include the characterization and forecasting of observed time series, such as the sunspot data and canadian lynx time series (shown on this page) and of electricity load and consumption.
